Two days ago I put this picture of Michael and Jackson on Piggy Kingdom FB page with caption :"Michael and Jackson say hi :)" and to my surprise it's been viewed by 1682 ppl as of today (and counting), has been liked 29 times and was shared eleven times. Our usual number of viewings averages somewhere around 300 so obvious question arises: where is this interest from? I wouldn't mind repeating it with another picture, problem is I've no clue what caused this sudden rise in popularity. I guess I just need to continue snapping nice pigtures and publishing them on FB, there may be a pattern to discover :) Funnily enough an edited version of the portrait has not been so popular at all, the raw version as it came out from iphone got all the attention, more 'artistic' one has been quite completely ignored. I prefer the more dreamy portrait of those lovely boys.

Michael and Jackson got a small photo shoot today :) New pair of sows is coming up for adoption, Bonnie, the Teddy sow and Bella, tri coloured smooth coated crested beauty. Hopefully they will find their new home soon so we can accept more unwanted Guinea Pigs in future. Bonnie's and Bella's profile page will be ready by the end of the weekend.
The pair of Piggies on the pigtures are Ginger & Bread. They were reserved 2 weeks ago due to be picked up today in the evening but as I haven't had a confirmation from the person who wanted to adopt them it looks like they will be available again. They got their bath today anyway and now they are grazing outside in a small pen :) Profile page for Naveen and Nandu is now ready, they are the first pair of 12 recently surrendered Piggies available for adoption. Yesterday they had a bath, trim and nail clipping done and few photos were taken, pity they don't show how truly beautiful this pair is. They have to be seen in flesh to be fully appreciated. We are looking for a permanent pet home for them. Please click on the picture to open their profile page with lots more pictures, information about adoption rules and how to contact us or just send us an e-mail [email protected] and make an appointment to see and adopt them :) Lots of new PIGtures of Peaches and Lilly (click on the picture to open their profile page), a lovely pair of short haired sows available for adoption. They came in September 2012, required a bit of attention due to scurvy (caused by lack of vit c in their diet), now they are ready for their new loving pet home, indoor much preferred. Who'd like to adopt them? Lovely family adopted Piper and Pio, they took their time choosing the right pair, made sure everyone is happy with the decision, got the set-up ready and came for the Piggies today. I have no doubts they went to the right place and will be properly pampered as they deserve. Please donate to help us save and rehome more Guinea Pigs and Rabbits, we've got few coming in each month and need your help to keep the things running smoothly. Thank you in advance :) Wallace and Gromit were rescued in September 2012 together with other 16 Guinea Pigs who's owner failed to provide correct care for them and left them suffering from mange mites, some Guinea Pigs had bad scabs on their backs, Wallace included. He's recovered from that now and both Wallace and Gromit are available for rehoming with loving pet home. Gromit has been already paired up with Wallace when they came in so I left the pair together. They are both Swiss, Gromit is smaller, possibly younger, less attractive in his looks but still a lovely Guinea Pig! Thankfully the skin condition was nothing more than mange mite overgrowth which caused skin sores on Wallace's back. It was quickly sorted with proper anti parasite treatment, coat has grown back nicely and the Piggies are ready for their forever loving home. Pet home only of course! More pictures of the boys on their profile page.
